all you need is love

So my boyfriend was interviewing me for his English class and I just thought that I would share his questions and my answers.

1)      When did you first become interested in Wicca?

I don’t really know when I first became interested in Wicca .I have always been into witches and that kind of thing but I never really knew that real witches existed until I was in maybe eighth grade. Then one time my friend took me to a shop called the Magick Cauldron and it was amazing, I guess that she sort of got me interested in it. Her mom had tarot cards and we would use them sometimes. Then, I think it might have been my birthday in ninth grade when she gave me a pentacle and I really knew that I wanted to get into Wicca and learn more about it.

2)      Why did you first become interested in Wicca?

I was always really interested by witches, and I guess knowing that there was something out there that had nature at its base and balance and a man and woman as equals was just really cool and made me feel very connected finally.

3)      What is your favorite aspect of Wicca?

Nature and how everything is connected.

4)      What about Wicca do you wish you knew more about?

Everything! I really am just beginning eventhough I’ve been interested for a long time I still haven’t really practiced so I’m still new to everything and so interested and excited by everything. I really want to learn more about divination though, I think that it’s very cool. And I would also love to learn how to use herbs as medicine and make my own incense.

5)      Can you describe Wicca to the uninformed masses?

Hmmm, Wicca is a nature based religion, we don’t worship nature but it is at the center.  There is Spirit, which is made up of the Lord and Lady (male and female aspects Spirit). Of course this is my interpretation, one of my favorite things about Wicca is that it is different for everyone and there is no wrong way to practice. Whatever is right for you is right.
